This #WorldMentalHealthDay the need for mental wellbeing, kindness and psychosocial support is much heightened. The #pandemic has done no favours. So consistent with this year’s theme and requirements, HCCB – one of India’s largest FMCG companies – has launched an exclusive music playlist that evokes and soothes certain emotions. The playlist is a part of HCCB’s “music for wellness” series, all based on an original composition by Dr. Ilaiyaraaja. The first set of compositions in the series was released on International Yoga Day. All the tracks in the series will be available on HCCB's official YouTube channel.

The tracks in the playlist range from the zone of happy, motivating and energetic to the zone of meditative, spiritual and peaceful. In the first set, the music uses major chords that are uplifting and hence the pace and tempo is faster. In the second set, the composers have used a combination of major and minor scales with melodies that soothe and calm. The playlist has the usage of different sounds of nature like birds chirping, rain, babbling river, wind. Instruments used include the Glockenspiel, Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Harp and Xylophone.
