The new facility, spread over 22 acres, will have a capacity to produce 8 million compressor units a year, which will be expanded in the future. Compressors produced at the plant will be used in refrigerators that Samsung manufactures in India and also be exported. The riders aspiring to participate in the women’s category will test their ability on race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and rookie category on TVS Apache RR 200.  The Rookie Category is an indispensable platform to nurture young motorsport talent in India, which is open to young riders between 11 and 18 years. Uber Autos at Five Metro Stations: The last mile connectivity measures will provide pick up and drop off zones for Uber Autos at five Metro Stations in Chennai. During the first phase of this initiative, the exclusive designated zones are set up at Guindy, Alandur, Egmore, Koyambedu, and Thirumangalam Metro Stations, enabling users to have an enhanced and seamless commute experience. IIT Madras collaborates with Portescap on Medical Innovation using Robotics

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is collaborating with the Motion Technology Firm Portescap to develop medical innovation using Robotics for rehabilitation. This CSR Project also involves Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore, a premier medical institution located in Vellore. This project, facilitated by the Office of Institutional Advancement, IIT Madras, will focus on creating an innovative rehabilitation robot - AREBO (Arm Rehabilitation Robot) - for people with arm impairments. AREBO is a six-degrees-of-freedom robot for training individual joint movements at the shoulder and elbow for persons with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions such as stroke, arthritis, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson's disease, among others. The design of this robot allows it to be easily connected to either the left or right arm of a user and provides safe training of the arm. Chitkara University Secures Approval of PFAS Project from Government

Chitkara University  has secured approval and received research funding for its project that will estimate the presence of human-made chemicals in rivers and ground/drinking water in Himachal Pradesh.   Chitkara University Campus   The grant, which is worth Rs. 47 lakhs, was sanctioned under the Core Research Grant Scheme (CRG), Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, DST, New Delhi.   The goal of this project is to investigate the chemicals, known as Per and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances or PFAS in ground and drinking water which could be key for risk assessment of these chemicals.   Talking about the project,  Dr. Nitin Verma , Professor and Principal, School of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, said,  “In India, the PFAS has been investigated very less.
