Leading Indian banks echoed the Prime Minister's sentiment by organizing enthusiastic Yoga demonstrations across the country. Indian Bank, Bank of India, and Punjab National Bank (PNB) are just a few examples.
Indian Bank Organizes Pan-India Workshops
Indian Bank observed the 10th International Day of Yoga with the central theme, "Yoga for Self and Society." Embracing the spirit of IDY 2024, Yoga Workshops were organized Pan-India, in various offices of the Bank. Staff members and their families practiced Yoga as per the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP). Shri S L Jain, MD & CEO, led the IDY celebrations held at Zonal Office, Coimbatore.
Bank of India Leads by Example
The Bank of India organized mass Yoga demonstrations based on the Government's Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) across all their Zonal Offices on June 21st. The program at the Bank's Head Office in Mumbai witnessed a large turnout of staff and customers, led by Managing Director & CEO Shri Rajneesh Karnatak.
PNB Focuses on Holistic Well-being
PNB celebrated Yoga Day with a focus on the theme – "Yoga for Self and Society." The PNB Parivaar participated in early morning interactive yoga sessions emphasizing stress management, relaxation techniques, and breathing exercises. This aligns with the bank's commitment to holistic well-being for its employees. Speakers highlighted how regular yoga practice can enhance mental and physical health, fostering a more connected and supportive work environment.
Southern Railway Joins National Celebration
Southern Railway actively participated in the nationwide Yoga Day celebrations, organizing events across its various zones on June 21st. The program at the Railway Officers Club in Chennai, inaugurated by General Manager Shri R. N Singh, attracted a large turnout of officers and staff. Similar events were held at all six Southern Railway divisions (Chennai, Tiruchchirappalli, Madurai, Salem, Palakkad, and Thiruvananthapuram) and workshops.
